Mechanical draftsmen
The Mechanical Draftsman converts (detail) designs by Mechanical Engineers, Project Engineers or Project Leaders into workplace drawings. In addition, the Mechanical Drafter sometimes converts these drawings, after production or installation, into as-built drawings. Often this drafting work is combined with other drawings such as pipe supports, steel structures and piping and sometimes even with drawings for disciplines other than mechanical engineering, such as E & I and Civil. In most cases, AutoCad or Inventor is used for the drafting.
