Project management

The discipline of project management consists of project managers who manage projects throughout the entire term. For an EPC project, that would mean during the preparation phase and the purchasing and construction phase. They provide guidance to the entire task force at all stages of the project. The main tasks of project management are:

  • Carrying the main responsibility for the project, including profit / loss, planning, project progress tracking (including reporting), keeping track of expenditure and technical performance, quality assurance, safety, health, environmental aspects, equipment purchase and materials, execution of work at the building site etc.
  • Maintaining contact with the client (or the client’s contract manager).
  • Complying with contractual obligations
  • Provide guidance to the total task force

Project management is supported by specialists in the fields of planning (scheduling), estimation and cost control. Together they form the sub-discipline project control.
