SHEQ

The discipline SHEQ is the collective name of Safety Health Environment and Quality. Sometimes quality is disconnected from HSE. It also happens that the order of letters is different, such as QHSE or SEH.

SAFETY
Ensures that the general safety in the workplace is guaranteed by, among other things like;

  • arranging toolbox meetings
  • make an inventory, analysing and following up any work-related accident
  • execution of Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RIE) in the field of safety
  • define, assess and monitor the quality of the safety training of personnel (employees and contractors)

HEALTH
Ensures that the work environment meets the requirements in the field of physical health such as ambient air (HVAC installations) and ergonomics (accessibility of equipment in factory installations), but also the design of offices and culture within a company. Which also looks at the physical load and psychosocial load.

The tasks often include:

· Implementation of Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RIE) in the field of health and well-being
· Monitoring the requirements for air quality and ergonomics
· Monitor the psychosocial load on the workplace such as aggression / violence, intimidation, discrimination, bullying, work pressure and psychological complaints

ENVIRONMENT
Ensures that the environment suffers as little damage as possible from the production processes and that the environmental standards and requirements according to the European regulations are met so that contamination of water and soil is limited to a minimum or to a maximum value. The tasks often include:

· Preparing, organizing and carrying out environmental audits
· Monitoring the requirements set in the environmental and wet pollution surface waters (WVO) permit
· Giving and / or making instruction and training on environmental aspects
· Contacts with (local) government agencies and the immediate vicinity of the factory

QUALITY (QA / QC)
Ensures that the development and maintenance of quality assurance systems is guaranteed. Quality conducts the internal and external quality policy in such a way that the quality standards are achieved, and quality awareness is further promoted. Quality provides the design and maintenance of the care system and ensures that required certifications are obtained.

· Registering and following up reports of incidents, comments and complaints from projects, suggestions for improvements etc.
· Coordination and follow-up of action points, resulting from (external) audits, management inspections, customer satisfaction surveys, project evaluations and "lessons-learned"
· Collect and analyse SHEQ data, process it into reports
· Actively contribute to SHEQ objectives and safety awareness
