Safety Officers
The Safety Officer is often a higher safety expert (HVK) and is leading in the field of safety and knows how to involve others at various levels in the organization in the implementation of the safety policy. The Safety Officer has a lot of contact with project teams, identifies bottlenecks in the implementation of the safety policy and is always looking for ways to improve safety within a plant. In this coordinating role, the Safety Officer is an important link between policy and practice. In addition, the Safety Officer considers it as a challenge to make employees aware of safe working.

The tasks of a Safety Officer can include:

· Contact is important for working safely
· Responsible for the safety policy, or make an important contribution to the realization of that policy
· Coordinate and implement activities of the safety policy
· Monitor the progress of various safety projects
· Advice employees about safety on a solicited and unsolicited basis
· Addressing employees and contractors for unsafe behaviour
· Organizing training courses and providing training in the field of safety
· Carrying out various administrative tasks
· Carry out expert role in safety and internal procedures related to this (eg SOPs)
· Providing reporting to the QEHS Leader
· Developing and providing toolbox meetings / training in the field of personal safety
