Supply chain planners

The Supply Chain Planner has a pivotal function in the organisation and has a direct impact on the speed and reliability of delivery and on the efficiency of the logistics processes.

The tasks of a Supply Chain Planner can include:

  • Ensuring optimal monitoring and control of operational flow of goods. This is achieved, inter alia, by determining which items are to be kept in stock and determining the inventory levels required to meet the agreed delivery times;
  • Interpreting and checking applications from sales or product development and integrating this information into the product register in the ERP system. In addition to the parts list and processing plans, the Supply Chain Planner also integrates the other master data of the products;
  • Being (partly) responsible for the production planning of part of the product range, and the associated administrative work;
  • optimising the balance between delivery reliability, production capacity and costs;
  • Making periodic reports in which the logistics and production processes are monitored and updated.
