For one of our Clients a leading Engineering Company, we're looking for a Design Manager / Project Architect
Our Client is seeking a Design Manager / Project Architect for various exciting industrial buildings and retail projects in the Benelux region.
The primary responsibilities will be to manage and coordinate project and program based teams of architects and engineers involved in the coordination and localisation of design delivered by the AECOM design hubs.
Your focus is to cultivate and maintain client relationships whilst overseeing and leading multiple projects through all phases of design, and actively lead the design process for each of these clients and opportunities.
Within this role you will work with local and global leadership to ensure a coordinated effort to support business development endeavors.
Ensure the localization of the project, interpretation of legislation and code compliance.

Ensure the localization of the project, interpretation of legislation and code compliance.
• Provide design directions to the project teams and control design quality.
• Lead a team of architects and engineers with good communication and leadership skills.
• Oversee the design process and work with team members to ensure that the clients stated mission and vision are infused into the design of the project at all stages. Incorporating our ESG strategy.
• Take ownership on SHE and assure safety in design.
• Deliver against all HSE metrics.
• Administer AECOM contracts and ensure compliance with company procedures and project compliance to all local codes, standards and building/construction regulations.
• Be responsible for financial management of the project, ensure key deadlines are met and staff are working together effectively.
• Play a key role in client and government relationship management and keep high standard of works we deliver.
• Support the Design Director, Design Operations Leader and business development teams in project pursuits.
• Define scope from initial project information and oversee preparation of associated fee proposals.
• Schedules, work plans and additional service requests as required.
• Maintain and cultivate existing client relationships, including introduction of firm leadership .
• Build and strengthen connections with clients on a day-to-day basis through a comprehensive understanding of their project mission, values and goals.
• Actively engage with other Business Lines in Benelux or outside Benelux and foster collaboration.
Je profiel
• 7+ years related experience within industrial architecture and/or design management
• Must be detail oriented, thorough, well-organized and effectively manage time
• Several years experience with Dutch building codes and regulations
• Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a Plus)
