For our client we are in search for a Junior Buyer.
Implement and execute the procurement strategies developed by the Procurement Manager and Procurement specialist for variable costs, fixed cost so that significant cost improvements will directly translate into the PO.
Guarantee business continuity by following up demand and tracking supplier performance
The procurement activities include following : Fixed cost block services and materials.

Systems & Ethics:
Guarantee business continuity by following up demand and tracking supplier performance
The procurement activities include following : Fixed cost block services and materials.
The function is in relation with: Maintenance and stores:
• follow up demand changes
• challenge stock levels
• ensure a secure supply (business continuity)
Site organisation:
• understand internal customers needs
• challenge every request and spend
• provide alternatives which fit for purpose to improve cost base
• lead changes (new products, suppliers)
Implement and execute the procurement strategies developed by the Procurement Manager, Senior technical procurement specialist:
• implement changes that come out of the European contracts
• participate actively to the network in order to define the Procurement Strategy
• lead negotiation for single site related contracts (stores items)
• contract management and supplier evaluation
• follow up supply issues
• call offs on contracts
Systems & Ethics:
• ensure Ethics and compliance in own role, as well as business model compliance
• ensure compliance to ISO certificates and financial audit
Je profiel
• Non academic Bachelor / master Degree in business and/or economics
• Multilingual (Dutch, French, English and other languages from the EU)
• Analytically wise
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Solid in finance, commerce
• Strong personality
• Influencing and challenging skills (both for internal & external use)
• Excellent business and commercial sense
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building/maintaining, able to attract respect
• Strong team player
