For a chemical multinational, located in the Netherlands, we are hiring a Materials Engineer
As a Materials Specialist you provide technical support to asset owners and the inspection department.
In this role you are a valuable contributor regarding reliability, integrity, and safety of our process installations regarding material choices and prevention of failure mechanisms.

In this role you are a valuable contributor regarding reliability, integrity, and safety of our process installations regarding material choices and prevention of failure mechanisms.
Responsibilities.
• Perform examinations and failure analysis for the Terneuzen facilities and document findings in a report.
• Participate in root cause investigations with regards to fixed asset equipment damage.
• Job scope/package evaluations regarding the choice of materials.
• Participate in RBI corrosion study assessments and FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) of different pressurized equipment.
• Participate in capital projects with focus on materials selection
• Perform audits on contractor companies.
Je profiel
• Education / HBO + International Welding diploma (big plus)
• Certificate / VCA VOL
• Languages / English (must) + Dutch (pre, not fluent)
• Work experience / 10 years from which 3 till 5 year field of expertise
