Read, review against HSE engineering intent and provide direction to the designers for the production of HSE topics related drawings.

Be aware of legislation, statutory requirements, standards and codes of practice relevant to the HSE discipline: NFPA, Local fire codes, Vlarem, CODEX, ISO, …

Prepare and manage procurement support for various items on theprojects and to prepare project discipline work-hours, material quantity estimates and manage design changes.

Monitor and manage resources, ensure Technical Integrity of the discipline work, exhibit Business Acumen and decision quality.

Awareness of current tools for analysis, visualization and design, particularly computer-based tools and packages and competence in the use of a selection of these: PHA-pro, Phast, …

Je profiel

Job Specific Knowledge: Fire Safety Engineering and Process Safety engineering, more specified:

Knowledge of relevant legislation and design codes regarding fire protection.

Capability to identify fire and explosion risks based on presence of hazardous products and type of process

Capability of reading drawings e.g. a P&ID, PFD, layout of underground sewer and piping, hazardous area classification layouts,…

Perform risk analysis

Identify proper safety measures to develop proposal

Industry Specific Experience: You have experience in an engineering environment for industrial projects in chemical/petrochemical industry.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Master degree in science or Process safety engineering.

A completed Fire Safety Engineering course is an important asset.

HSE Capability: Experience in HSE deliverables in the different phases of a project.

IT Skills: Microsoft Windows tools, Sharepoint

People Skills: You are a team player, customer-oriented and can quickly identify specific customer needs

Other: Sufficient knowledge of Dutch to understand and interpret local Belgian legislation and requirements.
