Vacature omschrijving
The Instrumentation Engineer will lead and take care of coordinating all engineering, construction and commissioning activities during all Project phases, with internal and external stakeholders, from feasibility study till takeover by operations.
Cover all field instrumentation aspects
Work on different projects throughout the Feasibility / Conceptual /FEED or Execution phase
Lead contractors and subcontractor's capability based on EPC / EPCM projects and phases
Describe the project scope of work and prepare the corresponding budget estimate.
Create specifications and data sheets
Collaborate with and support Yara plants, Vendors and Contractors.
Check the quality of Vendor and Contractor documentation and test it against specifications, norms, standards and local regulations.
Develop instrument indexes, P&IDs, loop and interconnection drawings, hook ups, network and control system architecture designs for industrial plants
Advise and support the HES department regarding safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL calculation)
Develop control strategies that will be configured in the control system
Perform submittal reviews from contractors and other system integrator developed automation programming acting as owner’s advisor
Supervise instrumentation and automation construction works. Execute mechanical completion, (pre-) commissioning and plant start up
Work and communicate effectively with other disciplines, task leaders, and project managers
Produce effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technical memorandums
Perform in technical role for value engineering and QA/QC or review of sub-consultant work
Je profiel
Experience working on projects valued from € 5 million to upwards of € 100 million
Independent and have at least the latest technology development in relation to the use of the different components in instrumentation and automation.
Professional Bachelor’s degree or higher in electromechanical engineering or other engineering degree relevant to process control
Minimum 10 years of work experience as a (lead) instrumentation and control design engineer or maintenance group of a production facility within the chemical or petrochemical industry
Knowledge of ATEX/IECEX/NEMA guidelines.
Knowledge of functional and industrial safety.
Knowledge of industrial networks, including bus communication technologies, cyber security is a plus.
Comfortable and effective with clients and contractors as direct interface.
Strong interpersonal skills, persuasive
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Fluently speaking English, orally and in writing.
