Job description
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the construction and commissioning of advanced naval vessels with fully functional automated systems that meet rigorous regulations and standards.
You'll craft automation concepts for intricate processes, covering a diverse array of onboard systems.
Depending on the vessel's configuration, your designs may encompass critical defensive and deterrent systems.
Your work will empower crew members to monitor and control all ship systems seamlessly.
Operating within our 3DExperience engineering environment, you'll adhere to the V-model, overseeing the thorough review, testing, and verification of designs throughout the project lifecycle.
Your efforts culminate in the deployment of a new naval vessel, poised to safeguard our freedoms worldwide.
Developing functional descriptions and engineering documentation for automated ship systems.
Creating and maintaining specification documents for automation components and installation procedures.
Drafting comprehensive test and validation plans to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements during virtual and real-world testing phases.
Managing vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely project contributions.
Reviewing and integrating vendor and subcontractor designs into vessel designs.
Establishing standards and methodologies for detailed engineering and commissioning.
Providing technical support and commissioning activities for contracted projects.
Your qualifications
5+ years of experience designing and implementing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA), preferably in maritime, offshore, or industrial settings.
Proven experience in complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple suppliers/subcontractors.
Familiarity with model-based system engineering (MBSE) in accordance with the V-model.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong references, as pre-employment security screening is standard.
Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
