Job description

The Lead Planning Engineer will provide schedule management services to control the construction phase of the several projects, until the end of the construction phase.
He/she will be a key member of the Construction Management Team.
He/she will join the planning team on the owner’s side.

Overseeing the scheduling activities performed by the EPCm contractor, who provides planning services for the projects.

Oversee EPC contractor, who fabricates the large Tank on site.

Monitoring and monthly reporting of schedules, physical progress, and forecasts - includes consolidation of all component projects and activities.

Monitoring and reporting of KPI’s for intervention thresholds and triggers.

Possessing a detailed understanding of the critical paths, and near critical path activities always, proactively communicating them for optimum value deployment by the project teams.

Monitoring and monthly reporting of all critical related project’s schedules, physical progress, and forecasts.

Publishes and reports project progress through an existing set of communication tools and methods to all stakeholder groups, inclusive lender technical advisors appropriately.

Organises and performs regular schedule risk analysis at individual projects.

Perform audits on contractor planning groups to ensure a consistent approach is being followed and quality levels are maintained.

Mentoring and supporting planners when needed.

Your qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.

A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a process industry production and/or engineering environment with large (>100milj) capital projectmanagement experience.

Thorough working knowledge of scheduling practices for project and for program.

Thorough knowledge of control/monitoring of construction sub-contractors on site.

Lead planning role position for a large project in construction phase.

Global experience of fabrication (Middle East, Far East) and construction in Europe.

Good understanding of chemical engineering and chemical plant operations.

Comfortable presenting schedule topics to all levels, including to Board members.

Excellent working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis software.

Ability to digest lots of detailed information whilst also stepping back to see the bigger picture.

Team player.

Approachable with strong communication skills.

Be authorized to work in Belgium.
