Legal Safety Coördinator Dutch speaking
For one of our customers in Belgium we are in search for a Legal Safety Coördinator for a very large newbuild project.
Job description
The job holder will have to fulfil the tasks associated with those of a safety coordinator for both engineering and execution phases of the project as outlined in:
A non-limitative list of job holder’s key accountabilities:
Belgian Welfare law of 4 August 1996.
Royal Decree of 25 January 2001 concerting Temporary or Mobile Construction Sites.
A non-limitative list of job holder’s key accountabilities:
Coördinate the application of the prevention hierarchy principles during engineering and execution phases.
Update the safety and health plan.
Update the coordination file.
Update the post intervention dossier.
Organize collaboration and coordination of contractors at the construction site via coordination structure meetings.
Execute walk arounds at the construction site to verify if works are executed according legislation and project expectations.
Support Project, Construction and HSSE managers in resolving HSSE matters.
Your qualifications
Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate discipline (mechanical, electromechanical or chemical).
Safety Coordinator design and execution level A (Belgian Legal certificate).
Safety Advisor Level 1 (Belgian legal certificate) is a plus.
More than 10 years’ experience in HSSE roles in Major Construction Projects in Belgium.
Sound knowledge of HSSE legislation in Belgium.
Fluent Dutch and good English communication skills.
Strong planning and organizing ability.
VCA-VOL certificate is a plus.
